I’ve come across several LinkedIn posts where senior developers have gone off the rails about junior developers using AI and how business leaders are seeing less value in senior devs.
While it’s true that senior developers bring years of experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex, large-scale systems, AI has changed the game. AI should be supercharging your value—not diminishing it.
AI Can and Should Be Your Force Multiplier
If you’re not leveraging AI, you’re missing out on tools that can:

✅ Help with business-related tasks that fall on developers due to small teams or lack of support staff.
The Wrong Mindset Will Make You Obsolete
Senior developers who say, “AI can’t be trusted,” “It gives wrong answers,” or “I can do it faster myself,” are setting themselves up for failure. If you’re saying these things, you haven’t yet learned how to leverage AI effectively.
Tasks that used to take days, weeks, or months should now take a fraction of the time.
